Code of Conduct.

The standards we hold at every event — so everyone feels safe, respected, and glad they came.

Our Commitment

Beach City Socials is committed to providing a welcoming, safe, and respectful environment at every event. Everyone who attends — guests, hosts, venue staff, and partners — deserves to feel comfortable being themselves.

Respecting people's time, attention, personal choices, and personal boundaries is essential to creating the kind of nights we host. This Code of Conduct explains what we expect from every guest and what you can expect from us.

Expected Behavior

We expect every guest to treat others with kindness, courtesy, and respect. Be welcoming. Be honest about who you are, your intentions, and your affiliations. Misrepresenting yourself to other guests is a violation of this Code.

No means no — in conversation, in dancing, and in everything else. Respect people's time, attention, and personal boundaries at all times.

Consent & Boundaries

Always obtain clear consent before any physical contact, including hugs, hand-holding, or dancing. Accept "no" gracefully and immediately stop pursuing someone who has indicated disinterest.

Repeatedly pursuing someone after they have made disinterest clear is not flattering — it is harassment, and it will be treated as such.

Anti-Harassment & Non-Discrimination

Beach City Socials maintains a zero-tolerance policy for harassment and for discrimination based on gender, age, race or ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, disability, appearance, or cultural background.

Harassment includes, but is not limited to: unwanted physical contact; sexual comments or advances; offensive, demeaning, or bigoted remarks; persistent or invasive personal questions; intimidation or stalking; verbal abuse; and repeatedly pursuing someone after they have indicated disinterest.

Impairment from alcohol or anything else is never an excuse for inappropriate behavior.

Age Requirement

Beach City Socials events are adults-only evenings, 21 and over. Guests must be able to show a valid government-issued ID at the door; hosts or venue staff may ask to check it.

We cannot admit anyone who cannot show a valid ID, and we cannot make exceptions to this rule.

Drinks & Good Judgment

Many of our venues serve alcohol. If you choose to drink, enjoy it in good measure — guests are expected to stay in control of themselves at all times.

If a guest becomes overly intoxicated or behaves inappropriately, our hosts reserve the right to remove them from the event.

Photography & Privacy

Photography is part of the night. Several of our events include a photo element, and our hosts and photographers will be capturing stills and video as the evening unfolds.

Those photos and videos may appear on our website and social media to show what a Beach City Socials night feels like. If you would rather not be in them, tell a host at the event and we will keep you out of the frame — and if something we have already posted includes you, email info@beachcitysocials.com and we will take it down.

Please do not photograph or record other guests without their consent, and do not share anyone's personal information, conversations, or experiences without their permission. What happens at our events stays at our events.

Reporting Concerns

If you experience or witness behavior that violates this Code, tell any Beach City Socials host immediately, or email us after the event at info@beachcitysocials.com.

We take every report seriously. Reports are handled confidentially, and we will not retaliate against anyone who raises a concern in good faith.

Consequences

If we determine that this Code has been violated, we may speak to the person involved, issue a warning, remove them from the event, or bar them from future Beach City Socials events.

Serious incidents may be escalated to the venue or to local authorities. Anyone removed from an event for misconduct will not be eligible for a refund of any fees paid.

Agreement

By registering for or attending a Beach City Socials event, you agree to follow this Code of Conduct. We reserve the right to ask anyone who does not comply to leave the event.

This Code applies to all guests, hosts, and partners at every Beach City Socials event, in Ventura, Channel Islands Harbor, and everywhere else we gather.
